Hi everyone,
I recently went to a local doctor and had some issues with the prostate. I was worried that it would be too much testosterone. I was also worried that the prostate might be swollen. I've done tests, and they said that it wasn't really swollen. I was worried about the prostate and the test results, so I went to my local doctor and got a referral.
He told me that my prostate and test results were normal. He told me that I should see the prostate specialist, and they can tell you the diagnosis. I went to the doctor's office, and they said to ask me to come in and see the prostate specialist. They were not doing a prostate exam, and they didn't want me to get tested because I was worried that the prostate might be swollen.
I did a full prostate examination at the office and the results were good. I went to the doctor and asked him to explain my condition. He told me I should not take any testosterone, but I should take a pill like Proscar, so I could have some.

RefreshFinasteride is used to treat men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and male pattern hair loss, also called androgenetic alopecia. BPH is caused by an enlarged prostate. Men with BPH usually have difficulty urinating, a decreased flow of urination, hesitation at the beginning of urination, and a need to get up at night to urinate. Finasteride will make these symptoms less severe and reduce the chance that prostate surgery will be needed. It may be used alone or in combination with other medicines such as an alpha-blocker to treat BPH. For men with hair loss, finasteride will increase the number of scalp hairs but will not increase the amount of body hair.
Finasteride blocks the action of an enzyme called 5-alpha-reductase. This enzyme changes testosterone to another hormone that causes the prostate to grow or hair loss in males. It will increase testosterone levels in the body, which decreases prostate size and increases hair growth on the scalp. The effect of finasteride on the prostate and scalp will only last as long as the medicine is taken. When it is stopped, the prostate begins to grow again and the hair will be lost.

Add to AttributioniddscriptionFinasteride (generic Proscar) is a prescription medication used to treat the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate. BPH is a condition that occurs when an enlarged prostate gland is found to be functioning normally. However, as with all prescription medications, the effect of finasteride may have an impact on male sexual function. BPH may sometimes be caused by a psychological condition or a disease condition that may cause symptoms such as reduced sex drive, erectile dysfunction, and decreased urination. Patients should consult with their doctor before taking finasteride tablets to determine the appropriateness of the medication for them. Finasteride works by reducing the levels of 5-alpha-reductase in the body. This enzyme is responsible for providing an enlarged prostate with a condition known as androgenic alopecia.5-Aminobenzoyl-4-methylene-3-carboxamide. The medication works by stopping the production of a hormone that causes the prostate to grow or hair loss on the scalp. This hormone is known as dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which is a male sex hormone that works to shrink the prostate. By reducing the levels of DHT, the medication helps to prevent new hair loss and allows for a deeper and longer hair growth experience. Finasteride will only work if you are taking these tablets.
